COMPASS – Navigating the Spectrum
People with autism and their families often find that the information available to them is hard to find, outdated, or even contradictory. That's why we were thrilled to be asked to design the Compass: Life Journey Map, a project funded by the European Union. Its goal is to help the many participating countries successfully compile and communicate clear, comprehensive information, both general and country-specific, for individuals at any stage of life.

Note
Many autistic people have atypical sensory processing, meaning visual input, including bright, saturated or high-contrast colours, can feel more intense than it does for neurotypical people. Colour was treated as a sensory input, with saturation and contrast deliberately restrained to support comfort and reduce cognitive load for autistic users.
